AMIR

Amir was born into a musical family (his father plays guitar and sings), and is a lifelong Cambridge resident. He graduated from Cambridge Rindge and Latin School, and has a degree from Skidmore College in New York. Amir plays in various rock and indie rock bands around Boston and performs at weekly gigs with his dad playing latin jazz. He has a special talent with connecting with the little ones (due to years of experience in kids programs) as well as rocking out with our older kids.

JAKE

DRUMS

Hailing from Ohio, Jake came to Boston to attend Berklee on scholarship. His musical net is wide- he’s toured behind hip hop artists, metal bands, and even studied African rhythms in West Africa! Jake is upbeat, loves to jam with his students, and really knows how to connect with kids, beginner to advanced.

SUNNY

PIANO AND VOICE

Sunny has been an area favorite for years, teaching hundreds of children how to play piano piano and sing their hearts out! Since graduating from the Berklee College of Music she has been performing her own original music from Boston to Manhattan. Sunny has put out two albums with her original rock band and scored two feature length films which were shown at many film festivals in NYC and LA. Several of her songs have been even been performed by the Pierce School Chorus in Newton! Sunny brings years of experience and the joy of music to each of her students, which is why she is such an in-demand teacher.

Maurcio brings his passion for music and patient personality to all of his InHome Jams lessons.

DEGAN

Degan is a super-popular teacher and brings his multi-faceted musicianship and upbeat personality to each lesson. On any given night, he can be found leading his own acclaimed rock band Body English or as an assistant director of Ultrasonic Rock Orchestra, a 12-piece epic-rock Ensemble. Degan’s forte is his multi-faceted musicianship and the sheer joy and positive vibe he brings to each lesson.

MATTHEW

A Needham-Native, Matthew is a guitarist, drummer, pianist, and singer/songwriter who is currently in the midst of earning his degree in Music Performance at The New England Conservatory in Boston. In addition to being on staff at InHome Jams, Matthew has spent his last 3 summers on the music faculty of The Charles River Creative Arts Program in Dover, coaching kids rock bands. Matthew’s musical tastes run the gamut from classic Beatles (he can play/sing a ton of their hits) to indie rock bands and the latest pop smashes. As a KidzBandz coach, Matthew balances each rehearsal with equal amounts of fun and hard work- which is why he is so popular with the kids.

Chris brings his unique teaching approach and supportive demeanor to his students, relishing in developing their talent. n his own words “When kids learn for themselves that they can play a song and ‘wield’ a little of that magic, it feels a bit like having a superpower.
